• We believed that the strengths found for each of us were pretty consistant for all of us.  We are all people oriented.
• We are attuned to people's emotions and actions.

• Professionally we all believe that the support and encouragment given to our students is a key role for their success.

•   To succeed academically, students need emotional as well as intellectual encouragement
•   To succeed as professionals, we remain cognizent of this mission.

•   Knowing strengths of others allows for balance and understanding within the department.

3. What potential concerns might you need to be aware of?

  We may have a tendency to attach personally to many people and problems.  Our empathy changing to sympathy, and the inability to sometimes say no, may lead us to the ultimate BURNOUT

• We must make sure that the technology is available to our students and that the staff is up to date on its use.
• Part of our job is to lay down a foundation for each student to build upon as changes occur and to become life long learners.
• Students are our #1 priority.  By taking a  holistic approach with students will enable them to achieve academic excellence.
